Whatever you bring has its reasons. Together we make room to look at it.

At the beginning, the work is about developing a better understanding of yourself. That understanding often brings a measure of peace with oneself, and change can be built on it.

People come to me with all kinds of anxiety, with low mood, with dissatisfaction or difficulties in their relationships — in short, with the wide range of difficulties that fall under mental health. My foundation is cognitive behavioural therapy, shaped by systemic and hypnotherapeutic approaches as well as body-oriented approaches from the Feldenkrais method. That range of methods lets me find a fitting approach for most concerns.

You can expect me to meet you as an equal and with respect, and to leave room for whatever matters at the time. I will also keep encouraging you to try something new and take a different route — that is the only way new results and a different sense of yourself come about.

Before working in practice I spent many years in psychological research and presented at international conferences. What I learned there still shapes how closely I look.

Behavioural therapy for adults, in individual sessions and in groups. Billed through German statutory health insurance (gesetzliche Krankenversicherung) and privately. Sessions in English, in the practice in Eschweiler — no online appointments. Groups are held in German.

Services
Individual therapy
Behavioural therapy for adults, 50 minutes. It begins with one session to get to know each other: we look together at whether it fits — whether you feel comfortable with me and whether I feel I can offer you something suitable. Usually three or four further sessions follow. At the end we decide together whether individual therapy, group therapy or a combination suits this phase best, and apply for the treatment accordingly.
Covered by statutory insurance
Group therapy
Exchange with other people often holds a particular potential for change. Three ongoing groups of three to eight people, open to everyone and not sorted by diagnosis; a place is often available at short notice. The groups are held in German. More on the groups
