Professional title

Systemic therapist; Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie — a practitioner licensed by the state to practise psychotherapy under the German Heilpraktikergesetz. Title awarded in Germany; supervising authority is the public health department of the Städteregion Aachen. Professional indemnity insurance: Barmenia Krankenversicherung AG, Wuppertal, covering professional activity in Germany.

Applicable law

Sessions are provided from Germany and are governed by German law; the place of performance is Eschweiler. This is not crisis or emergency care and does not replace medical or psychiatric treatment where you live. No diagnoses are made and no medication is prescribed.

What data is processed

If you write to me, I process your name, your email address and what you tell me, in order to answer. For an invoice I need your full name and postal address. Health data is not requested through this website and should not be sent by email.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for arranging and performing the therapeutic contract, Article 9(2)(h) GDPR for data concerning health, Article 6(1)(c) GDPR together with German tax law for retaining invoices.

Newsletter

The newsletter is sent in German only, at most once a month, and stores your email address. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. After signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link, and you are only added once you click it; unconfirmed entries are deleted after 30 days. People who ask me in person, at a workshop for instance, are added without that email, and I note internally where the consent came from.

I may record a name alongside an address to keep the list in order. It is never used to address you in the mail and appears in no mailing.

Every mail carries a personal unsubscribe link at the foot, and the same link in the mail header, so many email programs show an unsubscribe button of their own. After you unsubscribe, nothing further is sent; your address stays on a suppression list so that it is not added again by mistake, and you can ask for that entry to be erased as well.

Mailings are sent from my own server at All-Inkl. No newsletter provider is involved. Opens and clicks are not measured, the mails contain no tracking pixels, and each message goes to a single address — nobody sees who else is on the list.

Video sessions

Online sessions use ecosero, a service of BilDuIn GmbH, Wilhelmstraße 92, 13593 Berlin, certified for video consultation under German law. Your name and email address are passed on so that you receive the access link. Audio, video, messages and documents are encrypted and travel directly between us where technically possible. There is no recording function; connection data is deleted within an hour. All of ecosero’s own processors are in Germany: Alfahosting GmbH (Halle), WIIT AG (Düsseldorf), Sendinblue GmbH and 1blu AG (Berlin). A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place.

Hosting and tracking

This website is hosted in Germany by All-Inkl (Neue Medien Münnich), which acts as a processor under Article 28 GDPR for the website and email. For online sessions only, BilDuIn GmbH (ecosero video consultation, Berlin) acts as a further processor; see below. No other service providers or platforms are involved, and your data is not passed on beyond that. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party cookie. Fonts are served from this site's own server, not from an external provider.

Confidentiality

Beyond data protection law, I am bound to professional secrecy by section 203 of the German Criminal Code. Nothing is passed to family, employers, insurers or authorities unless you release me in writing, or the law compels me. Clinical notes are kept separately from this website and are not reachable over the internet.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing. An email is enough.
